A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. It was so two years daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots of water in the house of his boss. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of his accomplishments. But the cracked pot was ashamed of its imperfection, and miserable feeling to be able to accomplish only half of what he had been assigned to do. After realizing that for two years had been a bitter failure, the pot spoke to the man one day by the stream. "I'm embarrassed and I apologize to you." "Why?" The man asked."What are you ashamed?" "In two years I was able to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way from the house of his master. Because of my flaws, you have to do all this work and not get full value from your efforts, "the pot said. The man felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and compassionately said, "When we return home to my sir, I want you to notice the flowers along the way." In fact, as they climbed the hill, the old cracked pot took notice wild flowers beside the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half, and again apologized to the bearer for its failure. The man said to the pot "Have you noticed that the road there were flowers only on your side I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. And I planted flower seeds on your side of the road, and every day while we walk back from the well, you've watered. For two years I have been able to pick flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way it is, he would not have this beauty to grace his house. "Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. Do not be afraid of your flaws. If we recognize this, they can cause beauty. From our weaknesses, we can draw strength.
Beautiful story... I remember I read it in school when I was little.
